Drums Musical Instrument

I started playing drums musical instrument at the age of 13. My father was in the drum corps in the army, as his father had been before him, so playing the drums had become sort of a family tradition. In the beginning, I hated it. The only percussion drums that I like were African musical instruments, such as djembes, but that was not even where my passion really lay. What I really wanted was to play woodwinds or brass, something which was almost the polar opposite of the drums musical instrument which I had been foreordained to play on. It really was frustrating, but my father was a stern man, so I did nothing to speak up at all. I just continued to play the drums musical instrument like I had been brought up to do, and never even considered the fact that I could quit it.

Of course, that all changed for a while in college. It was the 60s, after all, and so I wanted to strum on a guitar just like every other Bob Dylan out there sitting in the grass, talking to the girls. The drums musical instruments were forgotten for almost two years, and they were the best two years of my life up to that point. Then one day, they called to me again.

A friend of mine was selling off a pretty nice set of Pearl Drums pretty cheap. Of course, I only played with the idea at first, but money was tight, and I was going to let the opportunity to get them pass me by. Then, another friend lost his drummer. He had been playing in a rock band which I loved for a good long while, and was about to go on tour, which had always been a dream of mine. Now, however, he had no drums musical instrument in his whole band, and had to scrap it. I made a decision, and hastily bought the used drums musical instrument from my friend, and began to practice every day. Although I had lost a good bit of my chops within the last year, I still had it. Within a week, it was as if I had never even quit playing drums musical instrument. Another week after that, we were on tour, and living it up on the road. I have never quit playing drums musical instrument since then, and it has become one of my passions again.
