Where Is The Best Venue To Sing?
Filed Under (Music General, Musical Performance, Singing) by Kevin on 12-11-2007
The more a venue suits the singer and his songs, the better he will perform. An artist who is aware of and fully understands his skills will find that his particular style of singing is greatly enhanced when the right kind of songs are chosen.
This is why singers tend to concentrate on only one kind of music. This then becomes the sound the singer is identified with, like a ballad singer with mellow music and a rock band with heavy metal.
Listed below are some public entertainment places and the singing style you would expect to find within these venues.
1. Cocktail and Music Bars.
Here you are likely to find sweet voices and rhythm and blues music to soothe away your worries. With dimmed lights and dreamy background tones, companionship and romance are usually on the agenda here.
2. Concert Parks.
Concert parks have always been the venue of an orchestra, especially one with a fan base. Singers with classical voices usually perform best with an ensemble of talented musicians.
3. Nightspots and Music Clubs.
Night clubs are places where loud disco music is listened to so for a band this is the best type of venue. Some night clubs don’t close til the early hours so the music plays on.
4. Sing-Along Spots.
These venues are ideal for contemporary and pop music where everyone either takes their individual turn or they all join in together. Past hits are always a favourite, so for a good sing song this is the place to be.
5. Restaurants and cafes.
Restaurants and cafes usually welcome artists of different styles to perform. Here you will hear whatever tunes suit the ambiance of that particular venue.
There are many more places to perform musically as singing the world over is widely accepted whatever it’s style.
